Crazier then usual weekend in ess-eff

Well, what's happening this weekend?

The radical leftists are marching, spouting their usual US/Israel hatred. To hold this march on Rosh Hashanah is in really bad taste and shows a lack of respect.

Wait, it's an Anti-Israel march, never mind. I'm sure it was done purposely.

The Folsom Street Fair is also happening this weekend. Bring out your finest leather goods!

And prepare to sit and stew because of the traffic jams that these will cause.

And oh yeah, it's the SC Weekender. We are going to beat Cal at Memorial Stadium and on Sunday it's Fan Appreciation Day where we are going to beat up the Dodgers. I'm going to watch the sports, yay!

Busy weekend, I gotta say.

Endorsements Abound!

It may be a tad too late, but finally Darryl Issa and Bill Simon, two stalwarts of the Conservative Wing of the California Republican Party have or will formally endorse Arnold. They should have done this a month ago, before the ballots were published.

We need every vote and I'm pretty sure that there are some votes in the absentees for Bill. When Tom pulls out, there will be lots of absentees for Tom and these votes will be wasted...votes that Arnold could have used.

Sheesh. What happened to putting aside ego for the greater good, beating back the democraps?

ha ha ha another reason to dump Windoze

and to get a Mac! You won't be scooped up by the RIAA Gestapo blaming an entire industry's poor performance on less then 2% of the population!

Good read, but since Macs don't run Kazaa, the lawsuit should have been dismissed without predjudice due to impossibility.

So there was this "debate" last night

That quickly detoriated into a shouting match when the moderator lost control. Here's what I saw:

Arianna Huffington, obviously miffed that Arnie's entry into the race meant that she was no longer THE celebrity in the race, proceeded to fly off topic and attack Arnold personally like an old buzzard. What a baat-poh! And public financing for campaigns? WTF?

Arnold sounded knowledgeable about facts and figures and generally sounded upbeat and positive (toward the future!) when he could get a sentence out without being interrupted.

Peter Camejo, after you report to the Politburo about your attempt to wreck California and capitalism by being elected Governor, how are you going to pay for all your socialist programs and redistribution of wealth?

Cruz stayed above the fray but spoke down to most of the panel when he wasn't pandering to different voter blocs. He also told a lot of half truths, especially galling when you consider that he is part of the problem (the administration that got us into this mess in the first place). And don't forget his new package of "innovative" new revenue streams, I mean "tough love", which means NEW TAXES.

Tom McClintock actually sounded very rational and direct with solutions to problems. He plugged away at his initiative to eliminate the car tax but ended with a "pro-life" statement. Pro-Choicers who may have thought Tom sounded like an OK candidate were instantly turned off by that...especially with the negative campaigning that will now commence.

End Result: Tom got some points for his positions on issues and Cruz got some points for just not saying much. Arnold unfortunately had to fend off Zsa Zsa, I mean Arianna so he wasn't able to respond in detail in the time allowed him. Otherwise, a strong showing. People now know what Peter is about and I'm sure some in the audience are now thinking that Arianna and Cruz are in cahoots.

Also, she got waaay too much face time and the moderator let her go on too long...they should have turned her microphone off.

Bad Brief

Here's a critique about the 9th Circuit's 3 judge panel that stayed the election last week. Apparently, their fact checking is as sloppy as their legal reasoning.

Read and laugh. And then worry that these people (Clinton appointees) are in a position of power to push a leftist agenda, regardless of the rule of law.

A partial Victory!

Now the citizens of California will have the right to vote!

An "en banc" panel of jurists made up of 11 9th Circuit Judges (including Judge Alex Kozinski) just unanimously overturned the liberal 3 judge panel that stayed the recall election.

From what I heard from my friends at the courthouse yesterday, the question was asked about why these machines were fine for electing democraps while they were just awful and defective for recalling one.

Now if we could only get our own ducks in line...
