Let minors vote?
Sure. According to the democrap that proposed
this and
this, kids nowadays because they can talk on cell phones, play on the internet and on the PlayStation are more intelligent and sophisicated. So let them vote (for democraps) and be politically active.
Just like these kids who "protested" the school budget cuts in Pinole by doing
this. Sounds like early recruits for the angry left if you ask me.
The plan is to count their votes as 1/4 of a grown up vote in local elections only; doing it this way could skirt Federal concerns about the voter rights act, etc. This way they could "vote" for local issues (like school bonds and teacher raises) like the teachers tell them to. The leftist indoctrination that the public school teachers put kids through now is awful. Perhaps that's a reason why young people don't vote!
This is just another way to marginilize young people, just like the "provisional" drivers' licenses, tax liability and military service at 18 but you can't have a drink until you're 21 while old people continue to drive without special tests, killing people and driving into buildings. But that's another topic.
This voting proposal uses the youth to push the left-wing agenda, especially since youth are held in classrooms for hours at a time, their only source of information is the leftist teacher who espouses hatred for everything except left wing politics and greed.
If kids are so "mature" as this democrap says, why not roll back the drinking age to 18 then? There would be more booze sold so more sin taxes and after all, kids are "mature" so they will make the right decision if given the choice to smoke and/or drink.
Apparently, the democraps "trust" the youth to do as they say (vote for dems) but not as they do (drink and smoke and have fun).

Junk Mail
In the mail today mixed in with the other junk mail is a credit card offer from Providian.
What makes this different then the 20 or so credit card offers ppl usually get per week? This card supports the democrap party!
Why would I want to do that? Are they on crack?
I probably wound up on this mailing list because of my ethnicity. The card offer has a 3.99% APR for 6 months. Decent credit line. And the futile anti Bush message.
Then on the back, the APR after the promotional 3.99% ends is...
19.99% APR.
It's almost just like the democrap party in real life! They make all sorts of pie in the sky promises, reel you in and then milk you for all your money. They suck.
Besides, if I were to support a "Democratic" party, it would be
these guys (no relation to the US democrap party).

Gavin Newsom is NOT Willie Brown!
Look who's
getting fired! Ha ha ha. Scroll down about midway through the article...
They made the deal with Willie, not with Gavin. And now since he's in charge, he can choose which of Willie's arrangements he will keep and which ones he will not.
In the end, treachery doesn't pay! Though I thought Setencich was due for jail time.
This is one of the few things that I agree completely with Gavin since he became mayor...now if he'd only do the job he was elected to do; to fix the city's problems, not compete with his
wife for publicity.

Another reason to hate Microsoft
Or rather, to hate Bill Gates and the defective crap he calls "Microsoft".
His idea to combat spam by charging everyone for using email (and naturally his company collecting the money) is laughable. As is his idea that charging for email will shatter class distinctions offline.
Of course, this
idea has liberal democraps creaming in their pants...
And naturally, as with all ideas that hinge on the word "tax", it's bad. At the end of the article, the writer mentions the fate of some of the email systems that tried to charge. They're outta business.
Idiots with money. Soros. Now Gates. Bad bad bad. If they feel so guility by making the rest of us pay, why don't they donate billions of dollars that they
must have lying around...
No wait, the point of liberals is to spend other ppls' money...
