Read the article and note the names. Weirder things have happened in San Francisco...

Now why exactly is this a surprise?

The proponents of Care not Cash said that their program would purge the welfare rolls of people who registered here for the free uncontrolled money.

The "homeless advocates" said that's mean spirited, they're entitled to your money, etc, etc.

Now everyone is "shocked, shocked" that since Care not Cash has been reinstated, the bums claiming cash in SF has dropped by a third.

And everyone interviewed is happy about it, even the "advocates" that opposed it.

Funny how success breeds offspring...
