Victory for VOiP!
There's a (sorta) new technology you will be hearing more and more about. It's called Voice over IP and in a nutshell, it allows you to talk over the internet and make and receive phone calls like a land line.
The rates are hella cheep compared to the phone monopolies and naturally, liberal governments are droooling at the opportunity to TAX TAX TAX!
But this
ruling by the 8th Circuit slams the door on that idea (for the moment).
Sheesh. Any excuse for new taxes is a good one for a liberal! And the last excuse in the story, "
...guarantee that rural subscribers are not left out". Geez, if they got broadband and the VOiP service, they won't be left out, now will they?!?
