Muni Misadventures
Took MUNI in to work today. Yuck.
It took just under an hour to go 4 miles. When I drive to work, it takes, at most, 20 minutes. Usually less. Got to work with a splitting headache and nausea.
End Adventure #1.
Begin Adventure #2: So I'm sent out of the office to take some pictures of a potential project.
It's under the Bay Bridge so taking MUNI is usually the best option.
Except when you wait in Powell Street station for 40 minutes, breathing in the subway dust that the liberals won't allow to be cleaned, for an N car that never shows.
Wound up walking part of the way in the awful heat and finally taking a cab.
Muni Blows.

This is why we fight
Today is 11 September 2003, two years after the attacks on the world in New York, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon.
Here are some
words on what must be done to persevere.
And here's a
story about a leader who supported the terrorists, possibly done in by one.
Proof, as cited
here (scroll down to the bottom), that even if you "support" the terrorists, it doesn't protect you from them...
What to do to terrorists (as explained by my volleyball playing friends):
Spike. Crush. Kill.
Which is what they would do to us if they ever get the chance to do it again...

Ugly American Lawsuits
Just read this from both the "
New York Times" and the Wall Street Journal. It's pretty much the same story cuz it's from the AP, but there's sure to be more written about it later.
So the Airlines had a "foreseeable duty" to anticipate that terrorists would fly big jets into the WTC and the Port Authority (they owned the WTC) had a "foreseeable duty" to protect everyone on the ground just IN CASE terrorists fly jets into the towers and Boeing was responsible because the cockpit doors were'nt reinforced enough?
Let me address each point by defendant:
The Port: Yah, they could have deployed the world's largest umbrella to protect people from debris. Yeah, that's it.
The Airlines: Yup. Don't forget to prepare just in case a comet should fly through the atmosphere, striking the plane.
Boeing: The door works fine. Nice to see it's barracaded now.
For total security, Air Marshals with a shoot to kill policy should be stationed on all flights. Whoops, these same people who brought the lawsuit wouldn't like that...
This reads like a total money grab and the timing of the ruling blows chunks.
Maybe this is an Al Queda attempt at fundraising?
