Mayor Gavin Newsom
Just got back from the inaugural for Gavin Newsom, the 42nd Mayor of San Francisco.
Willie gave the shortest speech in his career and
Gavin gave a feel good speech along with some policy objectives.
Note to Gavin: when you mention the word "bonds", make sure they're prefaced with "revenue".
Nice notes: At the beginning of both Willie's and Gavin's remarks, they both tipped the hat to Republicans (Schultz) and the Governor (Maria).
Joan Chen was the Mistress of Ceremonies and she is still magnificent! Grrrrr...

More Left-wing hypocracy (surprise)
So while his comrades were raising taxes and fees and parking fines for the rest of the proletariat, comrade Hallinan
was breaking the laws of the state, entitled because he is an elected official, and more importantly,
practically a marxist.
He should pay these fines and the fines his cronies amassed because these monies go to the city and they fund his left-wing socialist agenda.
But typical of a San Francisco Liberal, his attitude must be "someone else can pay, I'm much too important".

National Champs
My first year at USC, the football team was on a roll.
The yellfish had a really annoying chant of "Rose Bowl, Heisman, Nat'l Champs". That year, we won the Rose Bowl but didn't achieve the other two.
Last year, Carson Palmer won the Heisman Trophy which one is now on display in Heritage Hall. .
This year, we won the Rose Bowl and have been anointed National Champions by the AP poll while the rackets, er BCS appointed LSU as their champion.
Result: USC and LSU will share the National Championship. Both teams are the best.
Take that you okies! Hah!
