please mind the gap

Watching the gap between sanity and stupidity grow wider and wider in San Francisco

Caught on tape, errr, MP3!

A follow up to "dr" Howard Dean's outburst at a 67 year old voter.

Here's a page with mp3s of the actual exchange. Try later in the day since it's hosted on Geocities and since this came from OpinionJournal, a billion jillion people will be trying the link now.

Heh.

This smells like the crap they (allegedly) clean up

Two former employees of a subcontracting program for the City are suing their boss and the City because they got laid off claiming that their boss "forced" them to support Gavin during work hours and to vote for him. Upon protesting, they got fired allegedly.

Actually, they look like they're extracting payback against their bosses because they got laid off by making unfounded charges with nothing but hearsay.

But since these charges are supporting the left-wing, they're legitimate!
"They're against Gavin, they must be telling the truth!" And since left-wing city attorney Dennis Herrera will be investigating, that's proabably what he will say.

Hopefully, if they're found out to be lying, they will get the jail time and fines they deserve. One way to find out is to see who is paying their bills now since they're now "unemployed". Follow the money guys!

I've seen these guys "sweeping" on Market Street near my office. If you could call it that. If they were truly "working", why were the streets filthy?

Driving the "Green Machines" around does not ensure clean streets...

Dun register your cars in San Francisco County!

Another story you won't see on the SFGate home page (as if this was a surprise)

Assemblyperson Mark Leno of San Francisco would like to have the car tax that was just repealed by Governor Schwarzenegger reinstated in San Francisco County via a "vote". His rationale:

Look, we paid the fee -- which is 2 percent of the value of the car --
from 1948 to 1998 without a word of debate or contention,''

Typical left wing thought. His cars, both his Lexus and his other car have Assembly plates on it. That means no car tax for him!

Between this and his bill, AB1690 that allows counties and cities to levy their own income taxes, this person has a serious tax fetish.

Perhaps he should start with taxing himself before he taxes others.

The Fastest Recant

In an extreme case of sour grapes beginning to turn to vinegar (bad situation defusing itself), Paul O'Neill made a partial retraction of the charges he made against the President and even made a half hearted endorsement.

And notice how quickly the angry left canonized and then excommunicated him, especially with this tidbit becoming public.

Is that because the Treasury's Inspector General is taking an official interest in the 17000 documents he took with him? And how many of them are classified? And who has seen them?

First he gets brought on board with the President, turns on him, gets fired and in sour grapes, "writes" a "tell all" book?

Can you say he's in CYA (cover 'yo Ass) mode?

Too late...

Busy News Day

So "dr" Howard Dean is the dumb-a-crap hope to beat President Bush this year?

Not with these kind of televised bad manners that can be used for commercials...

He decided to scream at a 67 year old voter for asking for civility during the campaign.

Now if a Republican did this it would be all over the news and on sfgate.com. Do you see the Dean story there? Nope? I didn't either...

Has France overplayed its hand?

Well, yes. Duh.

France is out of the family (Godfather reference).

Hat-tip to Merde in France

So what were you doing then?

Read Matier and Ross today. Came across funny quote near the end of the column about the future exploits of Terence Hallinan. He wants to "get back to the practice of law".

So what the f##k were doing over the past eight years when prosecutions & quality of life went down and crime went up?
