Leftist Hoax
This guy from San Francisco makes up a
hoax beheading video. Sooo what do you think was HIS deal? I mean besides making up the excuse that it's to support the leftist cause, etc etc.
Here are some possible causes:
Not getting enough attention from his mommy?
Having problems meeting "girls"?
Erectile Disfunction (a nod to all the spam we all get)?
Could be all the above. Or some of the above.
But this is the most disturbing part...SFGate runs this story, admits it's a hoax but links to the loser's website...

Local Politix
No ranting for once! Just my viewpoint on an election of local interest.
An article came out about the upcoming race for
District 1.
As recently as May, it was a crapshoot about who was going to run where. All sorts of people have said that they are going to run, but it all means nothing unless you get signatures and raise money.
Let's look at money first. Here's an article about the
frontrunners in District 1.
Read the link above then read on for analysis:
McGoldrick talks big through his campaign manager, Jim Stearns (disclaimer: who I worked with before). According to what I've heard, aside from the usual loony leftists who moved into the district over the past 3 years, the incumbency factor (where people jump on the bandwagon because he's the current incumbent) and the unions, there's not a lot of buzz out there for McGoldrick. I've got other issues with McGoldrick and the way he's been screwing over the District, but this is not a rant post. I'll address that issue later on.
Lillian Sing has been raising money like a champ. She blew through the US$75K cap so now all campaigns are permitted to raise as much money as they like. She's the closest thing to a big business/downtown candidate because much of her donations come from the legal community (she was a Superior Court judge), real estate and business interests. And at least for the moment, she's the Tong-yahn candidate for the District (for the moment because Rose Tsai has filed papers and will once again try to redefine herself).
Since Sing's been on the bench for sooo long, she doesn't have a public track record for taking positions on controversial issues or candidates. I guess we'll learn more about her on the campaign trail. Her campaign manager is Eric Jaye which connects her campaign with
Newsom.
Wait, not that Newsom. This
one.
Matt Tuchow is a new face on the public scene. Although he has interesting credentials (CUHK Guest Lecturer!), the rest of his CV screams "limousine liberal" with some moderate safe words ("fiscally conservative" for example) tossed in. Again, we will see as the season rolls on.
David Heller was/is the President of the Geary Merchants Association. It's safe to presume that this is his core base of support. His campaign hasn't been visible other than posters up and down Geary and Clement.
In true Richmond district tradition, his poster is up along with 2 or 3 others...
Now let's look at signatures, which can serve as a barometer of interest in a candidate. San Francisco allows you to waive the filing fee if you get 1000 signatures of registered voters in your district. Otherwise, you have to pay the DOE a prorated fee for every signature you are short of 1000.
Joefire has a
nifty chart that shows the signature count.
Note the top four on the chart. All four have pretty solid presence. And if the signature gathering period has ended, then the only reason why Rose Tsai has filed is because other interests will have paid for her filing fee to split the Tong-yahn vote against Sing.
Interesting, can?
