I'm Shocked, Shocked...

to find Gambling, I mean dubious fundraising here!

Your winnings, I mean ill gotten funds, sir!

With a VERY early morning nod to that great movie Casablanca and the scene where the Nazis shut down Rick's.

Sore Loser-ski

The Olympics have been interesting. Both in the sport and the scandal.

Sport:
How about the US Women's Softball team? Can you say sweep? Michale Phelps, swimming guy. Carly Patterson. 16? Or that Iraqi football team playing Uday-free and quite well?

"You're welcome!" say the people of the Alliance currently in Iraq...

How about scandal?
How about the lack of a US men's basketball team. Can you say OVERPAID spoiled brats? Definitely not a team. But what do you expect from a "sport" that drafts high school grads...

Loads of Greek athletes testing positive for drugs? Hey, you can host the games. You don't get a free pass from the anti-doping rules!

An American swimmer with diarhhea of the mouth, pissing off his teammates and the coach.

South Koreans whining and moaning because they didn't win. It happened in Seoul (1988), Salt Lake City (2002) and now here too.

But this takes the cake. A Russian "diva" (her term) whining that she didn't win the Gold and the events were rigged.

I'm not a gymnast, but I know errors when I see them. And she made several. I actually watched the finals of that event. Despite that, she should have gotten the Gold. Because of what happened in Sydney. Even though someone else was better.

How do you say "bullshit" in Russian?

All the class the other Russian gymnasts showed during the competition is negated by this prima donna. Her behaviour amongst her other teammates and during the medal ceremony demonstrates her lack of grace and class.

Don't you need those traits to be a successful Olympic gymnast?
